TOUGHER MEDICAID FRAUD EFFORT NEEDED TO STOP ABUSE AND SAVE TAX DOLLARS

      In an effort to strengthen the state’s efforts to fight Medicaidfraud, which is driving up spending and taxes at the state and locallevels, Senate Republicans today announced the creation of the SenateRepublican Task Force on Medicaid Fraud.

       The task force will hold hearings this month in Albany and in NassauCounty and issue recommendations prior to the April 1st budget deadline.

TIER V PENSION REFORM LEGISLATION SIGNED INTO LAW

NY Drivers Will Pay More for Plates

 

It's another fee adopted in this year's state budget and it will affect every New Yorker who owns a vehicle.

By April, 2010, new license plates will go out. And when you renew your registration or get a new vehicle you'll be required to get them. And it will cost you more too. The new plates will increase from $15 to $25.
