East Coast Data Center in Lockport, NY. The facility is one of the most energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective data centers in the world. The ribbon-cutting included Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz and Yahoo! EVP Dave Dibble.

Earlier this year, the Empire State Building's owner refused a request from the Catholic League to illuminate the landmark building in blue and white in honor of Mother Teresa.
On Thursday, June 24, 2010, the New York State Senate unanimously adopted a resolution honoring Lance Corporal Timothy G. Serwinowski of North Tonawanda. The 21-year old Marine was killed in Afghanistan last weekend.
