Remembering Etta Magner at Opportunities Unlimited

Senator Maziarz today spoke at the Remembrance Ceremony for Henrietta Magner, a founder of Opportunities Unlimited, who passed away last year.  Mrs. Magner was chosen by Senator Maziarz as a NYS Senate Woman of Distinction in 2005.  A memorial bench was dedicated in her honor.

WNY legislators visit Museum of disABILITY History

Senator George Maziarz joined other senators and assemblymen from Western New York in a recent nonpartisan visit to People Inc.'s Museum of disABILITY History. 

Getting feedback from agencies that serve the developmentally disabled

Senator George Maziarz recently attended a legislative luncheon co-hosted by Niagara Cerebral Palsy, Opportunities Unlimited, and Rivershore--Niagara County's three primary voluntary non-profit agencies.  The focus of the discussion was the impact of Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposed budget cuts on these agencies and the people they serve.
