May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month.

Senator Maziarz co-sponsored a resolution declaring the month of May 2009 as Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month in New York.

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic tumor disorder that causes tumors to form along the nerves anywhere in or on the body at any time. Symptoms may include brain tumors, blindness, deafness, seizures, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and cancer. To date there is no cure or effective treatment.

Senator George Maziarz got his annual influenza vaccine today from Rachel at Summit Park Pharmacy in Wheatfield.  Summit Park Pharmacy provides flu vaccinations on Wednesdays in October.

Senator George Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) is pleased to announce that Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed into law legislation that (S.3510-B/A.5502-B) would prohibit health insurance providers from requiring that their customers obtain prescription drugs from mail order pharmacies only.
