Dunn Tower II celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Senator George Maziarz stopped by the 30th anniversary party for Dunn Tower II.  The popular residence for active seniors, which opened in 1980 adjacent to Dunn Tower I, is located on Spencerport Road (Route 31) in the Town of Gates.

Dunn Tower Apartments celebrates 35 years

Senator George Maziarz recently had the pleasure of attending the 35th Anniversary Party for Dunn Tower Apartments in the Town of Gates.  The residence is a favorite for seniors enjoying their retirement years.

Dale Association Senior Forum

Senator Maziarz recently joined other state, county and local officials at the Dale Association's 2011 Senior Forum. The event, held in conjunction with Older Americans Months, provided a great opportunity for seniors to ask questions of importance to the senior community.

Senator Maziarz Announces Partnership to Help Fund Trip for World War II Veterans to Washington DC

Senator Maziarz is pleased to announce a partnership with Walmart, who have provided $20,000 in funding to take World War II Veterans to Washington DC to visit the World War II Memorial.  The funding provided will cover the entire cost of the trip so that it is entirely free for Veterans.  This will be the fourth trip the Senator has taken to Washington DC, which will be on October 17th.  While there, the Veterans visit the World War II Memorial, Vietnam and Korean Memorials, and Arlington National Cemetary.  


Seniors from Lewiston and Albion honored in Albany

On Tuesday, May 6, Senator George Maziarz welcomed Robert Shively of Lewiston and Stanley Farone of Albion to the historic Senate Chamber.  The two active seniors were honored as part of New York State Senior Citizen's Day events.  Robert was joined by his wife, Joan, and Niagara County Office for the Aging Director Ken Genewick.  Stan was joined by Orleans County Office for the Aging Director Melissa Blanar.
