By April, 2010, new license plates will go out. And when you renew your registration or get a new vehicle you'll be required to get them. And it will cost you more too. The new plates will increase from $15 to $25.

Thenote might have said something like: “Due to a state law that took effecton July 1, 2009, utilities must collect a special assessment from allcustomers for the state’s general fund. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic tumor disorder that causes tumors to form along the nerves anywhere in or on the body at any time. Symptoms may include brain tumors, blindness, deafness, seizures, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and cancer. To date there is no cure or effective treatment.

Senator George Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) today wrote to Governor DavidPaterson and New York Power Authority President and CEO Richie Kesselurging them to relocate NYPA’s administrative offices from White Plains toNiagara County. Specifically, the relocation should focus on The Summit,the Wheatfield shopping mall scheduled to close in early June.
It is astonishing, but not surprising, that the legislative leaders in Albany spend a great deal of time and money on a bailout of the New York City-based Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Where is the bailout for Western New York? I wish they had spent as much time worrying about what the tax burden is on Western New York homeowners as they do about what the fare is on a bus in Brooklyn.
