Senator Maziarz today announced that Governor Paterson has signed into law pension reform legislation that will provide more than $35 billion in long-term savings to New York taxpayers over the next thirty years. Senator George Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) held a press conference this afternoon in Buffalo to denounce a bill that will deprive Western New York of the benefits of low-cost power generated at the Niagara Power Project, the New York Power Authority’s largest hydropower facility.  Senate Bill 6050 was debated voted on, and passed in the State Senate at 3:00 AM on July 16.
