Sen. Greg Ball has once again been found to be New York’s most “independent senator,” based on research conducted by the New York Public Interest Research Group. According to NYPIRG, Ball, a Republican from Patterson, Putnam County, had the most independent voting record of his colleagues this past legislative session.

LEWISBORO LEDGER: GRANT RENEWED FOR SCHOOL OFFICER

For the second year in a row, the Katonah-Lewisboro school district has been awarded an $80,000 state grant to pay for a school resource officer. State Sen. Greg Ball, whose 40th District includes Lewisboro and Katonah, announced the awarding of the “bullet aid” grant — state aid for education — on Tuesday, July 9.
