“Name Senator Ball’s Bull” Contest Extended, Opened to Local Students
Brewster, N.Y. – (1/29/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) recently called on his Facebook fans to help him name his rescued bull, found abandoned and left to die in a field near his home in Patterson last summer. Now, Senator Ball is asking local students to join the competition to name this little “miracle” bull.
South Salem, N.Y. – (1/30/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) was given the rare opportunity to get up-close and personal with some key ambassadors this past weekend. South Salem’s Wolf Conservation Center offered guests a glimpse of its ambassador wolves, nine-month-old pups Alawa and Zephyr, for a sunset photo op. Visitors were also given access to photo the WCC’s endangered Mexican and red wolves, rarely on exhibit to the public. The WCC is one of the nation’s preeminent safe havens for these beautiful, but threatened, animals. The ambassador pups are the first to be introduced since 2002.
Fishkill, N.Y.– 1/30/2012– Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) served as a guest judge at the Wing Bowl, which took place Saturday at the Ramada Inn in Fishkill. The annual event, which is in its fifth inception, hosted over a dozen restaurants competing to become the Hudson Valley Wing Champion. Each chef came prepared with multiple wing flavors to be judged, and for all attending to enjoy. Additionally, there was musical performances and comedy acts provided by local bands and comedians.
Peekskill, N.Y.– 1/30/2012– Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) joined hundreds at the New York National Guard Armory in Peekskill to say goodbye to 130 local members of the New York National Guard before they prepare to leave for service overseas.
Brewster, N.Y. – (1/29/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) successfully secured $100,000 for the Brewster Central School District, which will be used to help offset costs for badly needed renovations to the outdoor track at Brewster High School. Senator Ball presented the school district with a $100,000 check on Saturday at the Brewster Sports Foundation 2012 Gala.
Mahopac, N.Y. – (1/26/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) and Carmel Councilwoman Suzi McDonough joined Mahopac and Carmel Seniors for lunch at the William Koehler Memorial Senior Center in Mahopac.
Brewster, N.Y.— 1/26/2012— Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) said he does not support a plan to reduce the transportation reimbursement for parochial school students from 15 miles to 5 miles. The reduction is included in the 2012-2013 state budget proposal.

Patterson, N.Y. – (1/15/2012) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C –Patterson) joined The Plaza at Clover Lake to announce Putnam county’s first assisted living program. This much needed facility will provide seniors who cannot live at home, but do not need the more intensive care of a nursing home, a full-service assisted living residence.

Brewster, N.Y. – (1/19/12) – On Thursday, Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) visited facilities in Oneida County with Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-Rome) to meet and discuss New York state homeland security issues. Senator Griffo and Senator Ball are members of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, of which Senator Ball serves as the committee’s chairman.
