Albany, N.Y. – (5/1/2013) – Senator Greg Ball (R,C,I-Patterson) today announced that the New York State Senate has unanimously passed Hannah’s Law S2287. The legislation is named after Yorktown resident, Hannah Devane. Hannah is an eight year old girl who suffers from eosinophilic esophagitis, a potentially fatal condition that makes it impossible for her to eat most foods.

Molinaro and New York State Senator Greg Ball are  pleased the Dutchess County Office of the Aging will reopen its Senior Friendship Center next month (May) to serve Pawling, Beekman and surrounding area senior citizens.   The Senior Friendship Center will be located at the Town Hall Annex at 154 Charles Coleman Boulevard in Pawling and will be open each Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 2pm.     CountyExecutive Molinaro and Senator Ball invite residents to celebrate the “Grand ReOpening” at an Open House kick-off event on Thursday, May 9th from 11am to 1pm.

THE EXAMINER: STUDENTS ADD INSIGHT TO SCHOOL SECURITY

 

No matter how much of an expert one is, something can be learned from those who are living through it.

Over two dozen people participated in the School Security Roundtable hosted by State Senator Greg Ball and Putnam County Sheriff Don Smith on Saturday, April 20 at Carmel Town Hall. Each was an expert in their field. Yet, it was the group of students who sit on Ball’s student advisory council that brought a perspective to school security that was not really considered by the others.
