BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. — The Bedford Hills train station held the sight of Sen. Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) and Sen. Lee Zeldin (R, C, I – Shirley) at the podium to publicly push their newest bills that they are trying to get passed in the New York Senate and Assembly, which would exempt municipal governments, schools and libraries from the MTA Payroll Tax that was partially repealed in December.

Brewster, N.Y. – (3/1/12) – In the wake of the news that IBM is laying off more than 1,000 jobs nationwide— 200 here in the Hudson Valley— Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) is calling for swift passage of his legislation that would end tax incentives for companies that offshore jobs. Senator Ball will also renew calls for the state to get a guarantee from IBM that they will keep jobs in New York, and be transparent in their reporting practices.

THE PATCH: HEN HUD HIGH SCHOOL WELCOMES VETERANS’ WALL OF FAME

A proud 88-year-old retired Sergeant Squad Leader stood amongst teenagers and local politicians at Hendrick Hudson High school Tuesday, honored to be a part of the Veterans Wall of Fame. WWII Veteran Frank Campanaro, a Town of Cortlandt resident, said he was surprised to be picked out of the many veterans in the area to be featured as one of the 27 featured with photographs and biographies on the Wall. New York State 40th District Senator Greg Ball and his Veterans Committee created the wall last year. Featured veterans were nominated by their local municipalities.
