ALBANY, N.Y. – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) of the 40th Senate District, which includes Mount Kisco and Bedford, will be joined by former President Bill Clinton this week on a new commission designed to consolidate state government and save taxpayer money.
Brewster, N.Y. – (09/22/11) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) is joining President William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton for next week’s meeting of the Spending and Government Efficiency Commission in Albany, N.Y. Senator Ball was appointed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo as part of the 20-member SAGE Commission team, created to consolidate state government and save New Yorkers money.
Citizens across the country are concerned about the nation’s high unemployment rate, and those concerns, which are undoubtedly shared by many Lewisboro residents, are being heard loud and clear by the town’s political delegates.
Lewisboro’s representatives at the county, state and federal levels recently spoke to The Ledger about their goals and priorities for the next year, and employment was their first topic of discussion.
“The number one theme, of course, is job creation in our Hudson Valley and across the United States,” Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, 19th District, said this week.
Senator Ball Accepts Applications at Dutchess County Job Fair
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – (09/21/11) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) today teamed-up with the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce to help local people find jobs. The Senator attended a job fair in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. where he accepted applications and resumes for positions open within his Senate office.
“Teaming up with the Chamber, and other employment resources, is critically important to getting people back to work,” said Ball. “At the state level, I’m calling on the governor to convene a Special Session focused specifically on jobs. We simply cannot wait until January to address this crisis,” added Ball.
As part of his focus on job creation in New York State District 40, Sen. Greg Ball announced plans to open a new office in Peekskill by early 2012. Ball made the announcement during a presentation to the Peekskill Common Council at their work session last night.
During New York Senator Greg Ball’s visit to Peekskill’s Committee of the Whole meeting last night, city officials asked him for help where they need it most-with pension costs, financing for their struggling small businesses and to help with infrastructure repairs.
