SENATOR GREG BALL INTRODUCES LEGISLATION TO PUT ONE-YEAR MORATORIUM ON FRACKING

 

Yorktown, N.Y. – (1/17/11) – The students at Yorktown High School welcomed Senator Greg Ball’s (R, C – Patterson) traveling Veterans’ Wall of Fame on Tuesday afternoon in Yorktown, NY. The wall pays tribute to the twenty-seven veterans from throughout the Hudson Valley who were honored at a Veterans’ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony back in November. Each city, town and village within the Senator’s district was asked to nominate a Veteran.

 “The Veterans whose faces grace this wall were nominated by their communities, hand-picked because they chose a path of courage, honor, integrity and bravery,” Ball said. “It is wonderful that the students in those communities now have the opportunity to learn about each of these Veterans and their amazing stories.”

THE PATCH: YORKTOWN STUDENTS TO LEARN ABOUT SERVICE THROUGH VETERAN ‘WALL OF FAME’

As Yorktown High School students enter the hallway for the next week, they will be greeted by a traveling exhibition called “The Veteran’s Wall of Fame,” which displays the names, photos and biographies of veterans in New York’s 40th District. 

School district representatives, high school students and Yorktown town officials attended the unveiling of the “Wall of Fame” Tuesday afternoon. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano emceed the ceremony; students led the Pledge of Allegiance and sang “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

LEWISBORO LEDGER: TRAVELING VETERANS’ WALL OF FAME UNVEILED AT JOHN JAY MIDDLE SCHOOL

The traveling Veterans’ Wall of Fame was unveiled at John Jay Middle School in Cross River on Thursday, Jan. 12. The wall pays tribute to the 27 veterans from throughout Hudson Valley who were honored at a Veterans’ Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November. Each city, town and village within state Senator Greg Ball’s district was asked to nominate a veteran. Retired Private First Class Robert Joseph Williams of South Salem represented Lewisboro. It was the inaugural unveiling of the wall, which will be transported to other communities over the next three months. Each veteran’s picture and story appears on the wall.

LEGISLATIVE GAZETTE: $20 MILLION SAVED FOR HUNTING AND FISHING
