Senator Farley Salutes Mayfield Elementary

State Senator Hugh T. Senator Farley Discusses Issues Important to Veterans

Senator Farley Greets Tony Danza

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting fellow boxer and actor Tony Danza on June 9th at the Capitol. Mr. Danza spent the day with legislators at the Italian American Day celebration and also spent in Session with the State Senate. Senator Farley, a boxer when he was in the Army, shared boxing stories with Mr. Danza. They also briefly discussed their acting careers as Mr. Danza is well known for his roles on “Taxi” and “Who’s the Boss” and Senator Farley enjoyed a cameo in the movie “A Place Beyond the Pines.”

Senator Farley Salutes Olympian Erin Hamlin

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) takes a quiet moment to chat with friend, Olympian, and Herkimer County native Erin Hamlin before the State Senate went into Session on May 19th in Albany. Ms. Hamlin was invited to the Senate Chamber and was presented a New York State Senate Resolution for being the first female American luger to win a Winter Olympic medal and capturing the singles bronze medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi, Russia, last February. Senator Farley had the pleasure of participating in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Forge with Ms. Hamlin last March.

Senator Farley Participates in Mohawk Landing Grand Opening

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of participating in the grand opening of the renovated Mohawk Landing Park on May 9th in Rexford, a hamlet of the Town of Clifton Park. The park gives people numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors such as kayaking, boating, fishing and walking on nearby trails.

He was an honoree at the New York State Office for the Aging Senior Citizens’ Day that was held May 6th in Albany. At the day, the State Office for Aging, along with county offices for the aging, honored older citizens from around the State, with a focus on those who have lent their expertise to their communities through volunteerism.

Senator Farley presented a Senate Citation for Ms. Harris for her volunteer work with Hospice Palliative Care as well as her dedication to the Boards of Foothills Rural Community Ministry and Food Pantry, Herkimer BOCES and Unity Hall Foundation.

Senator Farley Salutes Union College Hockey Team

Members of the Union College Men’s Hockey Team were the guests of State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) on Wednesday, May 7th, in the Senate Chamber at the New York State Capitol. The Senator presented a New York State Senate Resolution honoring the team and they were introduced to the entire New York State Senate.The resolution congratulated the Union College Men’s Hockey Team and Coach Rick Bennett upon the occasion of winning the NCAA Division 1 Championship.
