Senator Farley Participates in Herkimer Chamber Breakfast

Senator Farley Discusses Veterans Legislation

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting with Tom Rielly of Ballston Spa on March 18th when Mr. Rielly came to the Capitol to discuss the priority issues of the American Legion. He also discussed with Senator Farley the legislation to set aside certain State contracts for disabled veteran owned businesses.

Senator Farley is pleased to report back to Tom and other veterans that he co-sponsored the bill and it passed the Senate on March 24th. The “Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act” is designed to help New York’s Service Disabled Veterans pursue successful new business ventures. A three-way agreement on the bill was announced during the Governor’s Veterans and Military Families Summit held last week in Albany.

Senate Passes Resolution Making March 18th Fort Drum Day

Senator Farley Participates in Old Forge St. Patrick's Day Parade

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I had a great time celebrating in Old Forge on Friday in that town’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. I met a lot of lovely people, including Herkimer County’s own Olympian Erin Hamlin. She was the Grand Marshall of the parade and it was wonderful to hear her talk about becoming a bronze medalist in the women’s luge category a few weeks ago. New Yorker’s can be proud of her and her accomplishments!
