Senator Farley Meets Clifton Park Constituent

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R - Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting constituent Sarah Koniszewski on April 16th in Albany. Ms. Koniszewski is a resident of Clifton Park and went to the Capitol to meet her new State Senator and discuss issues that are before the Senate. "With the new Senate lines, my district has shifted and I now represent about 60% of Saratoga by territory and 47% by population," Senator Farley said. The Saratoga County towns of Clifton Park, Malta and Milton are new to Senator Farley's district; he also continues to represent the towns of Ballston, Charlton, Corinth, Day, Edinburg, Galway, Hadley, Providence and portions of the city of Saratoga Springs.

Senator Farley Honors New York State Superintendent of the Year

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) met with Shenendehowa Central School District representatives on March 11th in Albany and discussed education issues and school funding. At the meeting, Senator Farley also had the pleasure of honoring Dr. L. Oliver Robinson as the New York State Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Robinson received the award from the New York State Council of School Superintendents and Senator Farley presented him with a Senate Citation recognizing the honor. At Shenendehowa, Dr. Robinson's "Commitment to Excellence" resulted in a Regents graduation rate of over 90 percent, and all K-8 schools exceeding annual yearly progress benchmarks. Also representing Shenendehowa at the meeting were Gary DiLallo, Rick Mincher and John Phelan.

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting local student artists from Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons on March 6th when they visited the Legislative Office Building and displayed their pieces as part of the annual New York State Art Teachers Association's exhibit.

Town & County Superintendents of Highways Discuss Bridges & Roads

Members of the New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways and New York State County Highway Superintendents Association were in Albany on March 6th to discuss their concerns with State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) for increased funding for bridge and road construction projects. Several road workers hailed from Hamilton, Herkimer and Saratoga Counties.

Nearly 80 teen 4-H delegates from 37 counties participated in the event. Senator Farley had the pleasure to meet members during a legislative breakfast. The teens shared their 4-H experiences with the Senator.
