Share Your Ideas for a Stronger Economy

New York has clearly faced major economic challenges in recent years.  That’s why – in partnership with Governor Andrew Cuomo – we took decisive action during this year’s Legislative Session to help revitalize our economy and create new job opportunities.  Taken together, these changes and reforms represent one of the boldest job-creation plans New York State has enacted in decades.  That’s good news – especially in terms of our efforts to create new jobs here right in our local community.REAL PROGRESS / FUNDAMENTAL REFORMS

SENATOR MARTINS ASKS FOR LOCAL NOMINATIONS FOR VETERANS HALL OF FAME HONOR

Senator Jack Martins today invited local residents to nominate veterans from their community whose service on behalf of our nation designates worthy of induction to the New York State Veterans Hall of Fame.

This on-line Hall of Fame is designed to pay tribute to New Yorkers whose gallantry in the U.S. Armed Forces is complemented by their service to the community.

“The Senate takes this opportunity to honor the brave men and women who serve our nation and protect our freedom as members of the military, said Senator Martins. “The Senate Veterans Hall of Fame pays tribute to all who serve, but also singles out for special recognition those whose sacrifices and service have helped make our nation and our community better places to live.”

You can help play a role in this process by reviewing the budget briefing documents below, and then providing me with your feedback on the plan.
