ONEONTA, 09/08/11 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today offered information provided by the New York Insurance Association (NYIA) for those affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene in regard to filing an insurance claim or receiving other recovery assistance funding.
ONEONTA, 09/11/11 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today announced the New York State Insurance Department Mobile Command Center (MCC) will be in Greene County and Schoharie County to assist residents and business owners with questions they may have following recent storms and flooding.
“While touring storm damaged towns many of those who have lost everything expressed the need for some help in contacting their insurance companies,” said Senator Seward. “Financial Services Superintendent Benjamin Lawsky joined me in meeting with many storm victims and I want to thank him for his quick response to their needs by dispatching the mobile command center.”
ONEONTA, 09/13/11 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today announced that additional federal aid is now available for residents and business owners that suffered flood damage as a result of Tropical Storm Lee.
“FEMA assistance is already helping many who suffered damage after Tropical Storm Irene tore through our region, now those hit a week later by Tropical Storm Lee will also receive assistance in rebuilding,” said Senator Seward. “I joined Governor Cuomo on an aerial tour of much of the damaged region and together we witnessed the flood devastation. I appreciate the governor’s advocacy in securing additional federal aid for those in need.”

Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today announced the New York State Insurance Department Mobile Command Center (MCC) will make additional stops in Greene County and Schoharie County to assist residents and business owners with insurance questions they may have following recent storms and flooding.
“As I continue to tour and meet with those who suffered storm damage it is clear additional support is needed to answer insurance questions,” said Senator Seward. “The State Insurance Department Mobile Command Center is a tremendous resource and I am pleased to see it deployed once again to hard hit areas in my district.”
WINDHAM, 09/22/11 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today joined officials with The Guardian Life Insurance Company in announcing special funding to assist flood victims in storm damaged Windham.
“Guardian is setting the example for how good neighbors treat one another in times of tragedy,” Seward said. “Touring storm damaged portions of my district, including Windham, I have witnessed people banding together – neighbors helping neighbors, strangers helping strangers – with a common goal of rebuilding. Guardian is clearly on the front line of the reconstruction effort.”
