Senator Alesi fights for small businesses in New York

Senator Alesi introduces his amendment which would provide a tax incentive for small businesses and manufacturers, and create more easily accessible health care. This same job creation proposal which was passed unanimously last year, was voted down April 3rd.

Alesi: Landmark Agreement Reached On Workers’ Comp

Senator Jim Alesi (R-Perinton) joined Governor Eliot Spitzer and legislative leaders to announce an agreement on workers’ compensation reform that will greatly reduce costs to businesses and increase benefits for workers in New York State. Senator Alesi has carried the ‘Unshackle Upstate’ workers’ compensation reform bill for years as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business.

Local War Heroes Receive New York’s Highest Military Honors

Senator Jim Alesi (R-Perinton) and Assemblyman Joe Errigo (R,C-Conesus) today hosted a special ceremony to present 13 local war veterans with military awards sanctioned by the State of New York. Awards presented include the Conspicuous Service Cross, New York’s highest military honor, as well as the Medal for Merit and the Conspicuous Service Star.

Senator Alesi Joins The Irondequoit Police Dept. At The 'National Night Out' Event

Senator Jim Alesi (R- Perinton) recently joined The Irondequoit Police Department which hosted its annual observance of National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 8.

The evening serves to build connections between police and residents and raise awareness of crime prevention activities. Senator Alesi was on hand to make opening remarks and stayed to chat with local residents about crime prevention on the local and state level.

Alesi Legislation To Aid New York State Small Businesses

Senator Jim Alesi (R- Perinton) today announced that the Senate has passed his bill (S.3592-A) which would ensure small and medium-sized businesses are able to find information on economic programs, as well as assist them in complying with any necessary regulations, from the State regional economic development office.

Alesi Bill To Give Local Towns Greater Oversight On Speed Limits Passes Senate

Senator Jim Alesi (R- Perinton) today announced that the State Senate has passed his bill (S.4322-A) which would allow certain towns in Monroe County to establish town-wide speed limits of twenty-five miles per hour.

“The purpose of this legislation is to provide for safer streets by allowing certain towns to lower speed limits,” said Senator Alesi. “More and more towns are finding that the current speed limit of 30 miles per hour is much too fast for newly developed subsections.”

Iberdrola Targets Some $2 Billion For Renewable Investments In New York State
