Senator Klein holds 15th Annual Easter Bunny Breakfast and Magic Show

NEW YORK- On Sunday, April 11th, Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) joined by more than 300 children from the Bronx and Westchester, held his 15th annual Easter Bunny Breakfast and Magic Show at Maestro’s in the Bronx. Families enjoyed a free breakfast, magic show, face painting and build-a-bunny workshop. The Easter Bunny also made a special appearance.

KLEIN ATTENDS 7TH ANNUAL TUCKAHOE COMMUNITY DAY

State Senator and Deputy Majority Leader Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) attended the Safe Riders’ Day portion of the Tuckahoe Police Department’s 7th Annual Community Day on Saturday, June 19th. At the event, Klein joined Tuckahoe Mayor John Fitzpatrick and the Police Department to promote bike safety to community youth. The Community Day was sponsored by the Tuckahoe Police Department and The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe.

SENATOR KLEIN AND BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT DIAZ HOST ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

State Senator and Deputy Majority Leader Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted their annual Fourth of July Boardwalk Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza at Orchard Beach on Thursday, July 1st from 6-10PM. The event was free, open to the public and featured music, a magic show, face painting, balloon art, and a fireworks extravaganza.

TAKE A RIDE ON THE TUCKAHOE TROLLEY

Senator Klein, Generoso Pope Foundation and Village of Tuckahoe Launch New Tuckahoe Trolley

 

TUCKAHOE, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester), Chairman David Pope of the Generoso Pope Foundation and Tuckahoe Mayor John Fitzpatrick launched the new Tuckahoe Trolley on Friday, August 13th. Elected officials and foundation representatives christened the trolley and took an inaugural ride through the village with community members.

 

“Small businesses are truly the backbone of our community. The Tuckahoe Trolley will make it easier for residents of Eastchester, Tuckahoe, and Bronxville to shop right in their own backyard and pump much needed funds into our local economy,” said State Senator Jeff Klein.

IDC Discovers Spike in Overtime/ Worker's Comp Costs at Office of Children and Family Services

The Office of Children and Family Services has increased overtime costs and experienced a drastic spike in worker's compensation claims, according to a report released today by the Independent Democratic Conference.

These startling numbers come as the overall number of youths under OCFS supervision has actually decreased from 983 during this beginning of the 2009-2010 fiscal year, to roughly 700 currently.
