Senator DeFrancisco Recognizes Students Who Competed in JazzIgnition at Signature Music

On June 26, 2012, State Senator John A. DeFrancisco presented scholarship prizes to four oustanding student vocalists and instrumentalists, who competed in the 2012 Jazz Ignition through Signature Music in Syracuse.  The recipients were vocalist Ashley Gusman from Bishop Ludden High School, tenor saxophonist Dunham Hall from Solvay High School, vocalist Nubia Hill from Nottingham High School, and vocalist Justin Tanksley from Jamesville-DeWitt High School.  Signature Music, a non-profit organization, offers music opportunities to young artists in Central New York.

Senator DeFrancisco Attends the 40th Annual CNY Arts' On My Own Time Event

State Senator John A. DeFrancisco attended the 40th Annual On My Own Time event at the Everson Museum of Art on September 20, 2013. The event featured the work of local artists partnered with Central New York businesses, educational institutions, government and non-profit organizations.  Senator DeFrancisco is pictured with Catherine Gerard, CNY Arts Board President, and Stephen Butler, Executive Director of CNY Arts.
