New York State Senate Completes Second Consecutive Early Passage of State Budget

For the second consecutive year, the New York State Senate has completed an early passage of the state budget. The 2012-13 state budget achieves the Senate Republicans’ goals of reducing state spending, not raising taxes and creating new private sector jobs. The new state fiscal year begins April 1st.

Senator DeFrancisco on Your Voice As State Budget was Nearing Completion

The 2012-12 budget increases aid to school districts, provides Medicaid relief to counties, and restores funding to the EPIC program. It also is the second state budget in a row that spends less than the prior year. SENATOR DEFRANCISCO ANNOUNCES STATE GRANTS FOR LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN ONONDAGA COUNTY

Senator John A. DeFrancisco has announced that several libraries in Onondaga County have been awarded New York State Public Library Construction Grants to help make necessary improvements to their buildings.
The local grants are among 192 construction grants awarded to public libraries and library systems throughout New York state, which are supported by $14 million in capital funds for public library construction provided in the State Budget.
