Senator John DeFrancisco attended a memorial ceremony at Most Holy Rosary School in Syracuse on September 9th, where students and staff honored the victims of 9/11 through prayer and song. Students held up American flags, sang "God Bless The USA" and particpated in a moment of silence. There was also a new flag raising.
Senator John A. DeFrancisco has announced that Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a bill that he co-sponsored (S.4005A), which will enable individuals with autism spectrum disorders to receive insurance coverage for screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Senator John A. DeFrancisco visited with organizers, volunteers and recipients of the 2011 Christmas Bureau Distribution on Thursday, December 22nd, at the OnCenter. The Syracuse-area Salvation Army's annual Christmas Bureau Distribution provides local families in need with toys and food baskets for the holiday.
Senator John A. DeFrancisco announced on May 7, 2012, that the New York State Senator passed his bil (S2856-A) that would establish a New York state Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Sports and Health.
