Senator DeFrancisco awards a NYS Resolution to Timothy R. Ellis, the FASNY Firefighter of the year for his bravery in the line of duty.  Ellis pulled Michael Argy from a burning building last summer.

Senator DeFrancisco Visits the "New York Remembers" Exhibit at the MOST

Senator John DeFrancisco attended the unveiling of the "New York Remembers" exhibit at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology in Syracuse.  On display is a battalion chief car from the FDNY headquarters at Metrotech in Brooklyn.  Several FDNY battalion chiefs were lost on 9/11.

Senator DeFrancisco Speaks During Memorial Service for Fallen Firefighters and Deputies

Standing outside the Onondaga County Justice Center in Syracuse, State Senator John A. DeFrancisco paid tribute to local firefighters and sheriff's deputies who have died in the last year.  The memorial service was held on May 17, 2012.

Senator DeFrancisco Recognizes the Howlett Hill Fire Department at a Special Ceremony

State Senator John A. DeFrancisco is pictured at the podium during a ceremony, in which he presented the Howlett Hill Fire Department with a Senate Citation to recognize the department for receiving the Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 2 Rating. The ISO reaches its award classification based on a detailed review of multiple facets that include administrative operations, training programs, handling of fire alarms, water supply throughout the district, and appropriate use of rescue verses fire apparatus.

The Howlett Hill Fire Department held a ceremony on February 8, 2015, to celebrate the achievement.
