Senator DeFrancisco Receives Honorary Recognition Award from the Central Counties Professional Nurses Association

Senator John A. DeFrancisco was presented on December 1, 2011, with an Honorary Recognition Award from members of the Central Counties Professional Nurses Association for his "tireless efforts on behalf of patient rights and for being a true friend of the nursing profession."  He is pictured with Registered Nurses Christopher Kowal and Christine Schrank.  A reception was held in the Senator's honor.

April 2013 is Autism Awareness Month

It is estimated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that autism has risen to 1 in every 88 births in the United States.

In order to raise awareness about the programs and services available to families affected by autism, the New York State Senate has commemorated April 2013 as Autism Awareness Month.


Senator DeFrancisco Attends Ceremony Marking St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center's New Affiliation with Trinity Health

Senator John A. DeFrancisco is pictured next to Trinity Health CEO Richard Gilfillan, St. Joseph's Hospital President Kathryn Ruscitto, Assemblyman William Magnarelli and Assemblyman Ale Stirpe. The ceremony marked the first day of St. Joseph Hospital's new affiliation with Trinity Health.

Senator DeFrancisco Attends Dedication for the Kaye Center for Cancer Wellness

State Senator John A. DeFrancisco is pictured with Gordon Hershberger. The Kaye Center for Cancer Wellness was established in memory of Kathleen "Kaye" Hoffman Hershberger to meet the needs of men and woman who are battling cancer.  The Kaye Center is located in the Northeast Family YMCA in Baldwinsville. The official dedication was held on July 7, 2015.
