In Honor of Memorial Day.

In commemoration of Memorial Day, I would like to share with you a wonderful video of a young trumpet soloist playing Taps in its entirety.

The original version of Taps was called Last Post and was written in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps.

Let us recognize, remember and appreciate all of the men and women who have put themselves in danger to protect our liberties, both past and present.
