Senator DeFrancisco Discusses Job Creation Plan on Your Voice in Albany

In order to save and create jobs in New York state during this down economy, it is important now more than ever to take action.

On this week’s edition of Your Voice in Albany, I discuss a tax cutting plan that could help jump start more businesses in New York state and create jobs. I also discuss a tax incentive that could help veterans obtain jobs after serving our country, and I weigh in on the current debate over whether or not to raise the minimum wage in New York state.

SENATOR DEFRANCISCO NAMED “GUARDIAN OF SMALL BUSINESS”

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has named Senator John A. DeFrancisco (R-I-C, Syracuse) a 2012 Guardian of Small Business for his consistent support on issues that affect small businesses.  Senator DeFrancisco is one of ten, out of 212, legislators to receive this designation.

Senator DeFrancisco was honored for his “commitment to reducing business costs, reducing taxes and improving New York’s economy for small businesses,” said NFIB’s New York State Director, Mike Durant in a statement. Out of more than 100 pieces of legislation monitored, seven bills were examined in NFIB’s Voting Record, including votes on the property-tax cap last year and pension reform.
