On August 15, 2013, State Senator John A. DeFrancisco helped celebrate the first of three fall concerts, held at Liverpool Library. Senator DeFrancisco secured a state grant for the library, which allowed for the concert series. The second concert is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at 2:00 pm. The third concert is scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 2:00 pm. Both concerts are free to the public.
On September 13, 2013, State Senator John A. DeFrancisco attended the opening ceremony for Festa Italiana in Syracuse, which was held on the steps of Syracuse City Hall. The three-day event will feature great food, events and live music. A flag-raising cerermony was held to honor and celebrate the Italian-American culture.
