On May 25, 2010 Boys & Girls Clubs members came to Albany for their annual “Youth of the Year” awards. On Friday, May 14, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Liberty Commons located in the Village of Liberty. Liberty Commons is a new housing complex providing affordable senior housing for both seniors and workforce housing.
On Friday, May 14, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Loch Sheldrake for Lake View Apartments (Conifer Realty, LLC), which provides 60 affordable family apartments as well as Barkley Gardens located in Liberty, which provides 51 affordable senior apartments.
On Saturday, May 15th, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended the annual dinner and officer installation for the Kauneonga Lake Fire Department at the Eagle's Nest, Bloominburg. Senator Bonacic presented The Kauneonga Lake Fire Department with a New York State Senate Proclamation celebrating it's 90th Anniversary.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended a press conference at Kolmar Labs where Kolmar indicated that they would be staying in Port Jervis for many years to come. Kolmar Laboratories is an industry leader in cosmetic care and personal care manufacturing and has been based in Port Jervis since 1943 and employs approximately 500 people at this location.

On Monday, May 17, 2010 Al Wegener, Executive Director of the Shawangunk Mountains Scenic Byway, presented Senator Bonacic with a framed map of the byway in recognition of Senator Bonacic’s work to create and expand the byway.
Senator Bonacic presented Evelyn Alvarez, Director of the Town of Mamakating Library with a Pen Certificate which represents Bill S4824, authorizing the increase of the number of trustees on the Mamakating library district board from five trustees up to fifteen trustees.
A tid-dyed wall hanging was recently presented to Senator John Bonacic by Tess McBeath of the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon. The hand-printed work of are was created as a thank you by some of the children who enjoy the playground at the Youth Center, which was purchased and installed in 2008 thanks to funding secured by Senator Bonacic. The old playground was destroyed in the flood of 2006.
In Albany on Wednesday, May 12th, 2010, Jerusalem Day, Senator Bonacic met with Joel Lion, Consul for Media Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York, David Baker, Senior Foreign Press Coordinator of the Israeli Prime Minister's Office and Rabbi Yaakov Kellman, Executive Director of Jewish Educational Resources of New York to discuss current issues and current events.
On May 11, 2010 Girl Scouts from across New York State came to Albany for their Annual Legislator’s Showcase. On Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended the Ulster County Police Chiefs Association Annual Police Awards Dinner at the Hillside Manor, Kingston to pay tribute to law enforcement and citizen honorees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to their community.
