John Bonacic visited with friends in Delaware County for breakfast and listened
to a presentation by Delaware County Sheriff Tom Mills concerning the increased
drug problems in the county and what his office is doing to combat it.

On Thursday, January 9th, 2014 Senator John Bonacic spoke at the Orange County Chamber of Commerce Annual Legislative Breakfast held at West Hills Country Club. Senator Bonacic updated the members on Governor Cuomo's State of the State address, as well as other topics which included, taxes, creation of private sector jobs, casinos and more help for disabled veterans.
Senator John Bonacic was honored by the New York State Assessors' Association, Inc. and was given the Distinguished Assistance Award for his significant contributions to the improvement of assessment administration in the State of New York.
On Thursday, December 18th, JoeAnn Drake, a representative from Senator Bonacic’s Office attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a new residence hall at SUNY New Paltz. The residence hall, scheduled to open in August 2015, will play a critical role in meeting significant student demand for on-campus housing. The 69,000 square foot building will feature residential wings organized in clusters of four double beds around two private bathrooms. The building will house a brand new café, a seminar room, designated quite study lounges, and Skype rooms for students.
On Wednesday, October 30th, 2013, the Town of Deerpark broke ground for a new combination highway garage and senior center. Senator Bonacic secured a $25,000 grant for the project for the much needed facilities.
