State Senator John Bonacic proudly announces that Warwick resident, Walter Kittle, will be inducted into the New York State Veterans’ Hall of  Fame.  


Senator Bonacic Congratulates Walter Kittle, 2014 NYS Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame Inductee

Senator Bonacic congratulates Walter Kittle on his induction into the NYS Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame at a ceremony recently held in Albany. Kittle served in the Navy, Army National Guard and Air National Guard and volunteered for tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before retiring in 2013 from 30 plus years in military service. Here, Kittle is being awarded a NYS Certificate of Recognition by the Senator.

SENATE RESOLUTION COMMEMORATES 70th ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY INVASION Resolution Accompanied By Historical Exhibits; Passage of Veterans Legislation

The New York State Senate today honored World War II veterans today by adopting  a resolution that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Allied Army invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, a defining day in world history that marked the beginning of the liberation of Europe and the eventual end of World War II; as well as passing a package of legislation to benefit veterans, and men and women in active military duty.
