On July 26, 2011 New York State Senator John J. Bonacic attended the groundbreaking of a $40 million expansion project at Empire Casino Raceway in Yonkers, New York. State Senator John J. Bonacic has signed on to co-sponsor the Senate’s Protect Our Children’s Act/ Caylee’s Law. The legislation recognizes serious forms of child abuse that are not adequately covered by existing law, to better protect our children.

The State Senate today passed legislation sponsored by Senator John Bonacic which authorizes the Town of Thompson to establish the Treasure Lake/Davies Dam Improvement District (S.5687) and the Lake Louise Marie Dam Improvement District (S.5688).

The New York State Senate today passed legislation, S.3349 by Senator Bonacic, which would increase the safety and security at alcohol and substance abuse treatment facilities that are utilized for judicial diversion programs.

Hope) was inspired to sponsor this amendment to the criminal procedure law when a security guard; Lee Wood was killed and a nurse; Keri Reynolds was stabbed at the Renaissance Project; a substance abuse treatment facility outside of Ellenville, NY by a felon with a history of violence who was being treated at the facility.
