Senator John J. Bonacic (R,C,I – Mount Hope) honored Joanne Rosenberger of Sullivan County as his 2012 Woman of Distinction at the New York State Senate’s 15th Annual Woman of Distinction Celebration in Albany this week.
Senator John J. Bonacic (R,C,I – Mount Hope) and Senator James L. Seward (R,C,I-Oneonta) welcomed Judge Carl Becker and the Rotary International Group Study Exchange students from Tawain in the Senate Chamber this week.
William H. Payne enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY on July 24, 1968 on the 90 Day Delay Program. He reported for active duty at Fort Hamilton on October 2, 1968 and entered Basic Training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot, South Carolina on October 3, 1968. After graduation in January, 1969 he entered Infantry Training Regiment at Camp Stone’s Bay, Camp Geiger, Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Amphibious Base, North Carolina. Upon completion of infantry training in February, 1969, he was assigned to DPI Camp Lejeune for on-the-job training.
Senator John J. Bonacic (R,C,I – Mount Hope) met with Miss Teen International Ariana Juliet Kaminski of Sullivan County in Albany this week. The Senator presented Ariana with a Legislative Resolution honoring her accomplishments.

The Senate’s “Woman of Distinction” program was created in 1998 to honor New York women who exemplify personal excellence.Joanne Rosenberger has served as a Girl Scout leader for the past 20 years and currently runs three troops to ensure all children who wish to participate have a place to do so.
Joanne Rosenberger stands out as an inspiration to the next generation in many ways, most notably through her work as a Girl Scout leader. Ms. Rosenberger has been a scout leader for 20 years, since her daughter Erin (now 25) started in Girl Scouts as a Brownie. She has established herself as a positive role model, inspiring confi dence and compassion in so many young girls.
Senator John J. Bonacic (R,C,I - Mount Hope) recently met with West Point Cadet Lee P. Wakeman of Wallkill, NY in Albany. Cadet Wakeman visited the Capitol and attended Senate Session for "West Point Day", where a Senate Resolution was adopted honoring West Point Cadets.
