Al Etkin

Al Etkin is known throughout Sullivan County as a tireless advocate for veterans and their dependents. As the Director of the Sullivan County Veterans Service Agency from 1994 to 2000, Mr. Etkin has helped improve the lives of thousands of veterans by providing them with entitlement information and assistance in matters relating to veterans law. It is through these good works that Mr. Etkin, a decorated veteran of the United States Army, feels that he made his greatest accomplishment to society.

William Brustman

Born, raised and educated in Obernburg, New York, a small town in the southern Catskill Mountains, William Brustman embarked upon a remarkable journey with his enlistment in the United States Army on September 11, 1941.He rose through the ranks to Sgt. E6 before being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Infantry on August 6, 1943. Mr. Brustman saw action in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam during his 23 years of service, retiring as a Lt. Colonel.

On Saturday, May 15th, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended the annual dinner and officer installation for the Kauneonga Lake Fire Department at the Eagle's Nest, Bloominburg.  Senator Bonacic presented The Kauneonga Lake Fire Department with a New York State Senate Proclamation celebrating it's 90th Anniversary.

Senator Bonacic attends Press Conference at Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Senator Bonacic attended a press conference at Kolmar Labs where Kolmar indicated that they would be staying in Port Jervis for many years to come.  Kolmar Laboratories is an industry leader in cosmetic care and personal care manufacturing and has been based in Port Jervis since 1943 and employs approximately 500 people at this location.

Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon

A tid-dyed wall hanging was recently presented to Senator John Bonacic by Tess McBeath of the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon.  The hand-printed work of are was created as a thank you by some of the children who enjoy the playground at the Youth Center, which was purchased and installed in 2008 thanks to funding secured by Senator Bonacic.  The old playground was destroyed in the flood of 2006.
