Senator Flanagan and Senate Majority Act On Job Creation and Taxpayer Protection Act

Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) today supported the Job Creation and Taxpayer Protection Act of 2011, a three-part plan to encourage the creation of new private sector jobs and ensure fiscal responsibility.  This plan, which is now being sent to the Assembly for further action, includes a jobs incentive program, a two percent state spending cap and a new requirement that calls for a two-thirds “super majority” vote to increase taxes in New York State.

Business Council Recognizes Senator Flanagan’s Commitment To New York Economy

The Business Council of New York State has announced that Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) has received the highest score of all New York State Senators in their 2011 Voters’ Guide.  The guide measures New York State legislators’ commitment to improving the state’s economic climate and performance by scoring their support for key business legislation during the 2011 session.

Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) joined with his colleagues in the New York State Senate Republican Conference today to announce the 2012 NEW JOBS-NY Job Creation Plan.  The plan includes significant tax relief to encourage the creation of new private sector jobs, measures to ensure fiscal responsibility and control state spending, as well as other reforms and incentives to make New York more economically competitive.  The plan will be included in the Senate budget resolution to be acted on next week.
