Senator Flanagan Calls For New Plan To Protect The Rights Of Voters With Disabilities

Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District), the Chairman of the Senate Elections Committee, today called for the rights of voters with disabilities to be protected. To ensure voting rights are protected, Senator Flanagan sent a letter to Judge Gary L. Senator Flanagan Publicly Thanked For His Support Of Trapping Ban Legislation

At a rally in front of his office in Smithtown, Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) today was publicly thanked by animal rights advocates for his support of legislation that would allow New York counties to ban trapping. The rally was organized by the Bite Back Coalition, a group that advocates the banning of trapping to protect the animals and children of Long Island.The legislation would allow the banning of trapping on a county by county basis. This change would permit New York State counties that decide to ban trapping to do so.

In a move designed to deliver some immediate relief to New York drivers, Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) announced that the New York State Senate has approved a measure that would reduce and cap state sales tax on gasoline. The legislation approved in the Senate is part of an agreement between the Senate and the Assembly which was reached last week and the legislation has been delivered to the Assembly for action.This agreement was pushed for by Senator Flanagan after the Senate passed similar legislation three times in the last year.

Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) announced today that an agreement to reduce and cap state sales tax on gasoline has been reached by the Senate and the Assembly. This agreement was pushed for by Senator Flanagan after the Senate passed similar legislation three times in the last year. When enacted, the legislation will go into effect on June 1st of this year to provide relief at the gas pump for the summer driving season."The price of gas is continuing to rise and we need to provide relief to our drivers now.

The center, located at 240 Middle Country Road, is a new multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art facility that is equipped with eight bedrooms and uses the newest technological advances for conducting sleep studies.
