The New York State Senate today passed the Job Creation and Taxpayer Protection Act of 2011, a three-part plan to encourage the creation of new private sector jobs and ensure fiscal responsibility, including the enactment of a two percent state spending cap and requiring a two-thirds “super majority” vote to increase taxes.
Senator Joe Robach (R,I,C -56th Senate District) said, “Job creation across New York should be one of our biggest priorities. The taxes and fees that were imposed as a result of last year’s budget, which I opposed, are making it very difficult for businesses to operate and grow jobs in our community.”
The Job Creation and Taxpayer Protection Act of 2011 includes the following measures:

RG&E Partners With Foodlink to Help Keep Winter Winds at Bay
Rochester, NY – RG&E will hand out reusable grocery bags filled with easy-to-install weatherization supplies at seven upcoming food distributions hosted by Foodlink. The supplies will include an insulation kit for three windows, a roll of weather stripping for sealing windows and doors, and 10 switch/outlet sealers.
RG&E representatives will also be on hand to distribute information and answer questions about the federal Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), RG&E’s new Energy Assistance Program for low income customers and how to use energy wisely.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association announced the Fall 2010 Scholar/Athlete team award for each fall sport around the state. Congratulations to the following schools in Senator Robach's district for finishing in the top 10 of their respective sport:

Happy Holidays! I am proud to announce my “From One Closet to Another” Coats for Kids Drive this holiday season. From now until December 17th, I will be collecting gently worn winter articles and will be donating them to the Greece Ecumenical Clothes Closet, who is in “great need” for winter coats, hats, gloves, mittens, and boots – all sizes in both boys and girls.

On Tuesday, November 9th, Greece Concert Band, Choral Society, and Community Orchestra present A Veteran's Day Musical Tribute. This musical salute to all those who have served and are currently serving our country begins at 7:15p.m. at the Athena Performing Arts Center, 800 Long Pond Road, in Greece.
