Regus Group Opens Downtown Office

Recently, I had the privilege to speak at, and help cut the ribbon at, the grand opening ceremony for Regus Group. The Regus Business Center is designed for small business owners that want a presence downtown. It is 10,000 square feet which includes conferences rooms, a kitchen, and wi-fi access. Regus also provides administrative services. Regus has over 1,000 locations around the world.

Tops Reopens in Hilton

On Wednesday, I was a part of the grand reopening ceremony at the Tops Supermarket in Hilton. The store recently underwent renovations, and used to be Furnal's Fresh Market. Tops is also celebrating its 50th year. To learn more about the grand re-openings, visit

Academy Building Renovations Begin

On Thursday, I spoke at a cermeony to announce the renovation of the Academy Building downtown. The $5.8 million dollar project will transform the building into commercial and residential space. An $800,000 grant from the Restore New York fund was secured for this project. Located at 13 Fitzhugh Street, the building housed Rochester's first high school.

Paul Wolk Commons Ribbon Cutting

On Thursday, July 12th, I had the privilege to speak at, and take part in, the ribbon cutting ceremony for Paul Wolk Commons. The mixed-use community facility combines affordable housing units with a mental health treatment apartment program. Paul Wolk Commons are located at 435 State Street.

Recently, I had the privilege to attend an open house for American Portfolios. California Rollin' Expands at Village Gate

California Rollin', which has been at Village Gate since 1994, held a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday to unveil their newly expanded restaurant. The expanded restaurant now occupies space that was next to its previous location. The restaurant currently has one other location, at the Port Terminal in Charlotte. California Rollin' is set to open a third location later this year on Genesee Street.

Rochester Educational Opportunity Center Opens
