On Tuesday, November 23rd, Senator Robach had lunch with, and spoke to, students at Rochester Academy Charter School. The students are members of the RACS Student Government Club. The topic of the lunchtime discussion was patriotism. For more information on RACS, visit www.rochester-academy.org.
On Thursday, December 9th, I spoke to 7th and 8th grade students at Northeast College Preparatory School in Rochester. The students, who are currently taking Participation in Government classes, heard about New York State government, my role as a New York State Senator, and how a bill becomes a law. On Friday, December 10th, Senator Robach attended, and spoke at, Thomas Jefferson High School's "Student Anthology Publication Party". This was presented by Writers & Books and the Academy of Performing and Visual Arts at TJHS. Forty students attended the event which also included six performers.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association announced the Fall 2010 Scholar/Athlete team award for each fall sport around the state. Congratulations to the following schools in Senator Robach's district for finishing in the top 10 of their respective sport:

On Friday, March 4th, Greece Athena Middle School opened up its production of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. Prior to the first show of the weekend, Senator Robach presented a certificate to Artistic Director Carl Wager. Wager is retiring after a 39-year career of a teacher and director. 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' continues Friday March 11th at 7:30 and Saturday March 12th at 2:00 and 7:30 at the Greece Athena Performing Arts Center.
On Saturday, March 19th, Senator Robach spoke at Greece Athena High School, where boys basketball head coach Jim Johnson debuted his new book, "A Coach and A Miracle". The book discusses the 2005-2006 basketball season, which included Jason McElwain's special game on February 15th, 2006 against Spencerport. On Tuesday, March 22nd, Senator Robach welcomed Sara J. Carroll to his Albany Legislative Office. Carrol, a resident of Rochester, was the recipient of a Boys and Girls Club of Rochester "Youth of the Year" award.
On Tuesday, March 8th, Senator Robach met with representatives from Bryant and Stratton College in Rochester at his Albany Legislative Office regarding TAP (tuition assistance program).
