Summer Reading at Brookside Elementary School

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to read to students at Brookside Elementary School in the Town of Greece as part of their summer reading program. This was a great way to help teach these students about the importance of literacy education! 

Summer Reading Program at English Village Elementary School

Thanks to the Greece Central School District for inviting me to read to elementary school students for their summer reading program at English Village yesterday afternoon. This is a great program that helps students improve their reading and literacy during summer vacation!

WDKX Back to School Rally

It's (almost) that time of the year again, back to school! I recently joined 103.9 WDKX and officials from the City of Rochester and the Rochester City School District for a Back to School rally. This was a great event, with tons of helpful information and even some free school supplies for parents and students as they get ready to start a new school year. Many thanks to WDKX for hosting this rally and for all that they do in our community. 

John Williams School #5 Grand Re-Opening

I was pleased to join Mayor Warren, Superintendent Vargas and other City of Rochester and Rochester City School District Officials in celebrating the Grand Re-Opening of John Williams School #5. This transformation and remodeling will provide a better learning environment for School #5 students and teachers, all in a state of the art facility. Congratulations and welcome back John Williams School #5!

GCSD Readies for the New School Year

With the start of the new school year upon us, I had the opportunity to join teachers and administrators from the Greece Central School District they get to work in the classroom. It was great seeing the passion and dedication from everyone at GCSD, working to get the most out of every student.

Brighton Homecoming Parade

I was pleased to join the Brighton community for the annual Brighton Homecoming Parade on Friday night. It was great to see so many enthusiastic students, parents, teachers and alum come out to support the Brighton Central School District!

SUNY Brockport Opens New Liberal Arts Building

As a proud alum of the College at Brockport, I was excited to join President John Halstead and the SUNY Brockport community to cut the ribbon on the school's new Liberal Arts Building. This state of the art facility is the first new academic building at Brockport in 40 years, and will benefit all of the students at the college.

Handing Out Dictionaries at the Greece Christian School

I was pleased to once again join members of the Greece Rotary Club to hand out dictionaries to the 3rd grade class at the Greece Christian School. I have been pleased to help support this project by securing state funding. These dictionaries are a valuable tool for students that they can keep and use beyond this year.  

Greece Rotary Dictionary Project Visits Lakeshore Elementary School

The Greece Rotary Dictionary project took us to Lakeshore Elementary School in the Town of Greece yesterday afternoon. Thanks to the members of the Greece Rotary Club for partnering with me on this project, and to the enthusiastic students and teachers who make it so much fun!
