On Sunday, January 10th, 2009, Senator Robach helped cut the ribbon on a $2.5 million addition at Lakeshore Community Church in Greece. The new 20,000-square foot community center includes a gymnasium and multipurpose room, a student room, an atrium, storage building, and kitchen. About $1.4 million was raised for the ...project by the congregation, with the rest of money coming from church reserves and financing through a bond company.
Tree Planting will be in memory of Hunter Thomas Resch
Greece Supervisor John Auberger announced that plans are underway for the Town’s 2010 Arbor Day Tree Planting. This year a tree will be planted in memory of Hunter Thomas Resch, a 7 year old resident of the Town of Greece, who was a Cub Scout and attended Paddy Hill Elementary. Hunter was killed earlier this year in a tragic murder-suicide.
The tree planting will take place at the Greece Town Hall, 1 Vince Tofany Blvd., on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Senator Robach provided remarks at the Spirit of America Independence Day Celebration at Grace and Truth Sportspark in Hilton. During his remarks, Senator Robach thanked all of those who have served, and continue to serve, for our country. The Spirit of America Independence Day Celebration has been taking place since 2002. On Sunday morning, July 4th, Senator Robach took part in the Grandview Beach Neighborhood Association's Annual July 4th Parade. This was the 20th year for the parade, which travels down Old Edgemere Drive in Greece.
Concerts by the Shore continue through August 25th at Ontario Beach Park. All concerts begin at 7:00 and end at 9:00 p.m, except for August 11th, which features a pair of guests from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. The entire summer schedule is available by downloading the .pdf file. The concerts are free to the public and parking is available around Ontario Beach Park. Wegmans will be selling food and beverages each Wednesday night. On Wednesday, July 14th, Senator Robach introduced Herb Gross & The Invictas to the crowd at Ontario Beach Park prior to the latest Concert by the Shore. The group played from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Concerts by the Shore is a free event, supported by Senator Robach, that provides great fun and entertainment for the entire family. On Saturday, July 24, Senator Robach joined the Chili Avenue Business Alliance for the Taste of Chili Ave Festival.The event featured numerous activities for children and youth, including a bouncy house, face painting and a basketball competition at Gardiner Recreation Center.In addition, there was live music from Noon until 6:00 p.m.
