Anthony L. Jordan Health Center Provides Services at Andrew's Park Apartments

Hillside Family of Agencies Unveils Renovated Monroe Avenue Campus

On Friday, I had the privilege to speak at a ceremony in which Hillside Family of Agencies unveiled it's $22 million renovated Monroe Avenue campus. Funding for the renovation was raised from private donors and funders and through numerous campaign over more then a decade. Renovations include six renovated residential buildings, the new Horton Family Center, a renovated Eastman Hall, a new common area, a new baseball field, track and playground, and one of the cottages now allows for residential services for eight youth with developmental disabilities. A Successful Women's Wellness Fair

I would like to thank everyone who attended, and all the vendors who provided information and services, at my 5th Annual Women's Wellness Fair this past weekend. Thank you for your continued support and for helping to make this year's Women's Wellness Fair such a success!

Push Yourself 5k Aids Local Causes

On Sunday morning, I had the privilege to visit with participants at the Push Yourself 5k at Ellison Park. This was the third year of the event, which was held to benefit the Rochester Area CrimeStoppers and the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society. Rochester homicide victim Paul Vasconcellos II was remembered during the 5k. He was killed two years ago, and his case remains unsolved. His father Paul Vasconcellos Sr. was on hand for the event. Also, funds were raised for Dan Prinzi, a teacher in Webster, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Nearly 500 runners took place in the Push Yourself 5k. On Friday, I had the privilege to speak at, and help cut the ribbon at, the grand opening ceremony of the Anthony L. Jordan Health Center's new access office. It is located at Glenwood Garden. AJHC is accredited by the Joint Commission and has served Rochester’s northeast area residents for over 40 years. Naiades Oncology Rowing Launches 'Spirit'

On Saturday, I had the privilege to speak at a ceremony hosted by Naiades Oncology Rowing to launch their newest boat. The group is a rowing organization started to help women who have staged the courageous and tough fight against cancer, or who are currently undergoing treatment and are fighting the terrible disease. Recently, I had the privilege to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Energy on East, located at 320 East Avenue in Rochester. Energy on East is a new hollistic and wellness center.
