On Wednesday, February 17th, Senator Robach released the following statement regarding the consideration of New York State tax refunds being delayed:
“The hard working taxpayers of New York State are already struggling in this challenging economy and to withhold their state tax returns will be another hard hit that many cannot afford to take. Many individuals rely on that refund to help with bills and to delay the payment is unfair. Delaying refunds will not solve the state’s long-term financial issues.”
On Wednesday April 6th, I spoke with Brett Davidsen from WHEC-TV, Channel 10, regarding a man from Rochester who was filing fake tax returns from his prison cell. This is unacceptable and outrageous. To see last night's story, click on the link below.
I was pleased to join my colleagues in State government and local leaders today in supporting tax reforms proposed by Governor Cuomo at last week's State of the State address. These reforms will provide needed tax relief for hardworking families, and will help attract more businesses and create more jobs for Upstate New York. This is real change that will help the New York economy continue on its path to recovery.
