Senator Robach Introduces New Jobs Initiative Program

New York Senator Joe Robach introduced a new jobs initiative program at PGM Corporation in Rochester Thursday afternoon.

 

The senator said the proposal focuses on four key components: cap on state spending, job creation tax credit, small business tax freedom plan, and a red tape moratorium plan.

Senator Robach Announces Job Initiative Program

On Thursday, February 18th, Senator Robach announced a new jobs initiative program designed to improve New York’s business climate, reduce taxes, and help employers create new jobs for workers across the State.  Joining Senator Robach for the announcement was Todd Hockenberger, Corporate Vice President, PGM Corporation; Sandy Parker, President and CEO of the Rochester Business Alliance; Jodie Perry, President and CEO, Greece Chamber of Commerce; and Matt Hurlbutt, Managing Director, Business Development.

Senator Robach Commnets on Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Resolution

On Tuesday, March 22nd, Senator Robach provided floor comments regarding the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Resolution. The text of the New York State Resolution is below.

 

WHEREAS the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire of March 25, 1911, resulted in the deaths of 146 garment workers, most of whom were young immigrant women who perished from the fire or leapt to their deaths to escape the flames because management kept the exit doors locked to keep workers from taking breaks outside; and
