Senator Robach Speaks to the Retired Employees Association

Senator Robach Welcomes Residents to Greece Summer Picnic for Seniors

On Thursday, July 22, Senator Robach welcomed residents and their guests to the Town of Greece Summer Picnic for Seniors. The annual event was held at Greece Town Hall. Senator Robach provided remarks to the crowd prior to lunch and thanked them for all that they do for the Town of Greece. Following lunch, seniors were treated to entertainment by Johnny Matt Band.

Ada Ridge Court II Grand Opening

On Wednesday, September 15th, Senator Robach made remarks at, and helped cut the ribbon at, a ceremony to mark the opening of Ada Ridge Court II in Greece. A devastating fire in 2009 during the final stage of construction required the building to be completely razed and rebuilt from the ground up. Through the dedication of the Greece Fire Department, PathStone Corporation, the development team, and financing partners, the project was reconstructed in less than 8 months. Senior Olympics Held at Atria Greece

Recently, Senator Robach attended the senior olympics, which were held at Atria Greece. This was the second year for the event in which residents competed in Nintendo Wii bowling, human horse racing, softball throw, a spelling bee, karaoke and a putting contest. Prizes were handed out during closing ceremonies, which wrapped up the event. Seniors Thanksgiving Party in Greece

On Thursday, November 18th, Senator Robach spoke to seniors at the Town of Greece Seniors Thanksgiving Party. The annual event was held at the Town of Greece Community and Senior Center. For more events at the Center, visit the town's website at

St. Ann's Community Announces Expansion

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend, and speak at, a ceremony to mark the ...expansion of St. Ann's Community. A new building on St. Ann’s Irondequoit campus will house a transitional care center with 72 beds and a palliative care center with 10 beds. A new building on St. Ann’s Cherry Ridge campus in Webster will house a long term care center with 60 beds and a transitional care center with 12 beds. The construction is expected to be completed and the buildings occupied by March 2012.

St. Patrick's Day in the Town of Greece

The Town of Greece celebrated St. Patrick's Day at the Community and Senior Center with a lunch for seniors and a performance by the dancers from the Young School of Irish Dance. Senator Robach attended this afternoon's St. Patrick's Day event and made remarks to guests after the performances.

AARP Chapter 4598 Celebrates 20 Years

This past Saturday, Senator Robach had the opportunity to attend, and speak at, the annual luncheon for AARP Chapter 4598. Senator Robach also presented the organization with a proclamation to celebrate their 20 years of service to our community.

Veterans Return from Honor Flight

On Sunday, May 15th, Senator Robach had the privilege to welcome back World War II veterans from their Honor Flight over the weekend. This was the second Honor Flight this year put on by Honor Flight Rochester. The organization's goal is to take every veteran, who otherwise could not or would not go, to Washington D.C. During the ceremony, students from Aquinas Institute, Canandaigua Academy, and Medina presented donations to Honor Flight Rochester. Town of Greece Seniors Summer Picnic

On Thursday, July 21st, Senator Robach had the opportunity to visit with seniors at the Town of Greece Community and Senior Center during the 2011 Town of Greece Seniors Summer Picnic. Although, the extremely hot weather moved this year's picnic inside, it was great visit with so many of our residents!
