On Thursday, August 12th, Community Place of Greater Rochester held its annual Health Fair and Rummage Sale. On Friday, August 20th, Senator Robach provided remarks to bicycle riders who were taking part in a ride from Rochester to Buffalo. On Monday, October 25th, Senator Robach was on hand to congratulate Michael Lavender of Troop 130 in Greece for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. On Thursday, October 28th, Senator Robach visited English Village Elementary School in Greece where students are taking part in the healthy highway program. This program teaches healthy nutrition and active lifestyles. For more information on this program, visit www.healthy-highway.com.
On Friday, October 29th, Senator Robach attended an event at the Hillside Family of Agencies Conference Center. At the event, Patricia Malgieri was named the new President of the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection. Malgieri begins her new role in January.
On Friday, November 19th, Senator Robach read 'The First Thanksgiving' to students at Northstar Christian Academy. Senator Robach also discussed how a bill becomes a law with students and answered questions from the students.
On Friday, December 10th, Senator Robach served as a judge for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School #9's annual cookie contest. A number of the classes and members from our community took part. You can even see video from the contest by clicking here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gotZlRM_G4.
On Monday, January 17th, the Maplewood YMCA held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of renovations which totaled $5 million dollars, which added 16,000 square feet of space.
