Meeting with Boy Scouts from Troop 18

Earlier this afternoon I had the opportunity to meet with a group of boy scouts from Troop 18. The four scouts, who visited my district office, discussed issues regarding our community as they complete the process for their Citizenship Merit Badge. In addition to our community, we also discussed how government operates in New York State and current issues facing our state government.

Town of Greece Senior Thanksgiving Party

Earlier today I had the privilege to visit with some of Greece's senior population at the annual Thanksgiving party, which was held at the Town of Greece Community and Senior Center. As always, the lunch was a hit, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and pumpkin pie for dessert. Musical entertainment was provided following the lunch.

While on the show, I discussed the upcoming New York State Legislative Session, continuing the fight regarding an increase in tolls on the New York State Thruway for commercial trucks, and a review of Veterans Day events in Rochester.

WebTitle Agency Opens New Corporate Offices

On Thursday afternoon, I had the privilege to attend, and speak at, the grand opening ceremony for WebTitle Agency's new corporate office, located in Brighton. WebTitle and partner companies Cascade Settlement Agency and Customized Lenders Services are now located at 500-A Canal View Boulevard. The new corporate headquarters occupies approximately 31,000 square feet with 37 separate offices, multiple training rooms with versatile conference space, Wi-Fi access and upwards of 200 parking spaces. This new facility will allow the staff of 160 to better integrate the three business units, further enhance the products/services offered to better serve the needs of their client partners and allow ample space for continued expansion.

Throughout this past weekend, I had the honor and privilege to be a part of many great events around our community to honor all of our veterans as a part of Veterans Day weekend. Thank you to all of the courageous ment and women who sacrificed so much to fight for our country, and allow us to enjoy life as we know it today. School #36 26th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony

On Thursday night, I had the honor to speak at, and talk with students, faculty, staff, their families, and local veterans at the annual Veterans Day ceremony. This was the 26th year for the ceremony. The students, faculty, and staff did a wonderful job as always on this great annual event to honor those who have served our Country.

This afternoon I had the privilege to meet with an international group of government and academics from Kiev in the Ukraine. I have been active in many of these exchanges with people from all over the world visiting Rochester and our entire region. Honoring Colleen Klix For Success in Nursing

Earlier today, I had the privilege to speak at a ceremony to honor Colleen Klix as a 2012 Long Term Care Employee of Distinction. Colleen is the Senior Director of Nursing at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center in Greece. She has been in the nursing profession for 43 years. She became an LPN in 1969 and received her RN degree in 1988. Colleen has been working with Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for 13 years. I was happy to meet with representatives from the Monroe County Library system recently at an appreciation event held in Henrietta. After we discussed issues facing the library system and the patrons it serves on a daily basis, I was presented a plaque for my support of our great libraries around the county.

Section Five Football Semi-Finals

On Sunday, October 28th, I had the privilege to conduct the pre-game coin toss before kickoff of the Section Five Football Semi-Final game between Aquinas and Rush-Henrietta. Congratulations to the Li'L Irish from my alma mater on your 21-13 victory. Best wishes to Aquinas in the Section Five Championship against Pittsford Saturday, and continued success to all of our student athletes!
