Solid Cell, Inc. Awarded NYSERDA Grant

On Tuesday, November 22nd, I had the opportunity to speak at a ceremony to announce a $200,000 NYSERDA grant to Solid Cell, Inc for product development and manufacture of its proprietary modified planar solid oxide fuel cell technology. The grant specifically targets manufacture of the Company’s patent-pending ceramic interconnect. Solid Cell was one of only a handful of companies selected under the highly competitive “Environmentally Preferred Power Systems Technologies” program. Get to Know Your Government Day at Franklin

On Monday, November 21st, I had the opportunity to be a part of Know Your Government Day at the Integrated Arts and Technology School at Franklin High School. I spoke with students on the legislative process and duties of me and my colleagues in the State Legislature, along with how they can have their voices heard in our community. Reading to Students at Hilton's Village Elementary School

On Tuesday, November 15th, Senator Robach had the opportunity to visit with second grade students at Hilton's Village Elementary School. To promote literacy and comprehension, Senator Robach read a book chosen by their teacher, Mrs. Root. The students also spoke about books that they are currently writing and what their favorite books are.

Open Door Mission Kicks off National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

On Friday, November 11th, SEnator Robach had the privilege to speak at a press conference to kick-off National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week. The event was held by the Open Door Mission, which will mark a 59 year tradition of serving hundreds of Thanksgiving meals to our area's most vulnerable citizens.

Celebrating Veterans Day in Rochester

Earlier on this Veterans Day, Senator Robach had the privilege to speak at, and take part in, a ceremony at The Blue Cross Arena at Rochester War Memorial. Senator Robach was honored to present the wreath on behalf of the Town of Greece with Supervisor John Auberger. It was great to meet so many of our veterans that live in our community. Thank you again to all the men and women who have served our country, and continue to do so today.

Hilton Veterans Day Celebration

On Wednesday, November 9th, Hilton held its Veterans Day ceremony, which included the dedication of the Veterans Wall at Hilton Town Hall. Over 300 students from elementary and middle schools around Hilton attended this event. Also, U.S. Army Sgt. David Earl Lemcke of Hilton returned home. Veterans, emergency personnel, and members of the community welcomed home Lemcke more than 40 years after he was killed serving our Country. Calling hours will be held on Friday. Saturday, his funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First Bible Baptist Church on Manitou Road.

Monro Muffler Breaks Ground on Expansion

On Thursday, October 13th, Senator Robach had the privilege to attend, and speak at, a ceremony where Monro Muffler Brake Inc.’s broke ground on a $4 million expansion. Monro Muffler is adding 70,000 square feet to its offices and warehouse at the Holleder Industrial Park in Rochester. Founded in 1957, Monro Muffler employs 5,000 at 800 locations in 19 states.
