(Utica)- State Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-C-IP, Rome) today confirmed that he will be participating in Governor Andrew Cuomo’s New York Rising Storm Recovery Conference this Thursday in Albany. Last week, Griffo was joined by fellow Senators James Seward, Hugh Farley and David Valesky in asking President Obama, FEMA, and federal officials for greater consideration in helping the residents of central New York and the Mohawk Valley who had been devastated by the catastrophic flooding.

PSC Surveying Public for Proposals to go into effect 2015

Phil R. Capraro

Phil Capraro was drafted into the Army in 1943. After basic training he was assigned to the 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division. He was wounded for the fi rst time, during the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach as part of ‘Operation Overlord.” Later, while engaged at the Siegfried Line, Capraro was wounded for a second time, and was awarded two Bronze Stars for heroic action. On December 16, 1944 at the “Battle of the Bulge,” Capraro was wounded for the third time. At the time, Phil was in charge of four machine gun placements which were charged with providing cover fi re for 200 rifl emen in foxholes up front awaiting the German onslaught. At the end of the war, Phil continued to serve as part of the occupation forces. Capraro remained in the Army and was called up for the Korean War.

Honorable Bernadette T. Clark

Bernadette T. Clark is a New York State Supreme Court Justice in the 5th Judicial District of New York, having been elected to a 14-year term in November 2005. A lifelong resident of Oneida County, she presides over numerous civil cases in the county. Judge Clark was a leader in bringing the Integrated Domestic Violence Court to Supreme Court in Oneida County and presided over that court for three years. She served five years as Oneida County Family Court Judge, from 2001-2005, and was the Oneida County First Assistant District Attorney from 1994-2000. Judge Clark was the first woman to serve in each of these positions. She received her bachelor’s degree from St.

SENATE BILL WOULD CREATE RESULTSNY.GOV WEBSITE

 

The ResultsNY.gov initiative is patterned after the Federal Office of Management and Budget's ExpectMore.gov website. This proposal would establish a new, user-friendly website that provides the public with the ability to review government expenditures, as well as the performance of State government agencies and programs in areas including the economy, education, public safety, energy, health, housing, and the environment.
