Queens, NY, June 19, 2012 – The Jamaica Rotary and its president, Joe Iabonni (left), honored NYS Senator Joe Addabbo (center) and George Russo (right) for their community service at its annual dinner dance held on June 9 at Villa Russo. Earlier at the event, the senator presided for the swearing-in ceremony of the chapter’s slate of new officers.
Queens, NY, June 4, 2012 – NYS Senator Joseph Addabbo presents Frank Dardani, President of the Ozone Tudor Civic Association, with a proclamation from the New York State Senate honoring the community of Ozone Park on its 130th Anniversary. To celebrate the anniversary, Addabbo sponsored a pizza party for the residents attending the civic meeting.
Queens, NY, May 22, 2012 – NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. teamed up with Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) experts this morning and held “Preventing Falls Among Seniors – Tips & Techniques for Keeping Elder New Yorkers Strong on Their Feet,” a free, 60-minute VNSNY Community health turnkey presentation. Lunch, gift bags and transportation for many of the 125 members who attended from several Queens senior centers were provided by VNSNY.
Queens, NY, February 24, 2012 -- NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., received the Keith Romaine Elected Official of the Year Award from Touro Law School for his work in Albany. Addabbo, a graduate of the law school in 1992, was bestowed the award by Touro Law School Dean Lawrence Raful.

Senator JoeAddabbo (right) is holding mobile office hours at Queens libraries in his district for the further convenience of constituents so they don’t have to make appointments to speak with him about their concerns. On Saturday afternoon, August 20, NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., welcomed over 100 veterans and their families to his 3rd annual Veterans’ BBQ held outside his Howard Beach district office and VFW Post 2565, under the leadership of Mr. Pat Connolly. The veterans and their families were served hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, ice cream and soda by the Senator’s staff and local volunteers, while they enjoyed camaraderie and the comedy and music of Rock’n’ Randy and Johnny Christ.
