ADDABBO INTRODUCES BILL TO HELP LOW-INCOME SENIORS AFFORD EXPENSIVE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

Queens, NY, March 12, 2012 -- NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. (D-Queens), a member of the Senate Committee on Aging, has introduced legislation (S.6417) to provide greater access to prescription drugs for low-income seniors and the disabled. 

 

“Although Medicare now provides a Part D prescription drug benefit, the fact of the matter is that out-of-pocket costs may still be too much for many seniors to afford,” said Addabbo.

Queens, NY, March 12, 2012 --  “If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.”  That’s the word from NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. (D-Queens) as he announced his co-sponsorship of Senate legislation (S.6276) that would require financial institutions to warn New Yorkers about the trap of falling for fraud schemes that require consumers to send out money as a condition of claiming their new riches.

ADDABBO SIGNS ON TO LEGISLATION HALTING ISSUANCE OF HYDROFRACKING PERMITS

Queens, NY, February 7, 2012 -- In an effort to ensure that the State Legislature and other interested parties receive all of the information they need to determine the ultimate pros and cons of hydraulic fracturing, NYS Senator Joseph P.
